Event: Volleyball For A Great Cause!

Mid Hudson Animal Aid 3rd Annual Charity Volleyball Tournament

July 22, 2014

Mid Hudson Animal Aid will hold its 3rd Annual  Charity Volleyball Tournament on July 26-27, 2014 at Memorial Park on Route 52 in Beacon.

“We are looking to attract volleyball enthusiasts of all ages -- even if they can’t play or haven’t played in a  while!” said Stacy Jacobs, a volunteer at the shelter and coordinator of the event. “We are particularly appreciative of this year’s tournament sponsor, Rutberg Breslow Personal Injury Law.”

The Tournament will be arranged based on skill level.  Players will vary in ability and will range from beginners through experienced players.  Each group will play a round robin format, which will end in several teams going to the Finals.  Prizes will be awarded to the top team from each group.

Men’s and women’s doubles and quads will play on Saturday, July 26.  Co-ed Doubles and Quads (at least 2 players per quad) will play on Sunday, July 27.

Registration will be held from 8:00 -8:45 a.m., with play starting at the close of registration.  The fee is $25.00 per player, per team.  Proceeds will benefit Mid Hudson Animal Aid, a not-for-profit, free-range, no-kill cat sanctuary located at 54 Simmons Lane in Beacon.  To register, contact Stacy at Schwenkers18@verizon.net and state your level of play.  Additional information can be found at www.midhudsonanimalaid.org or the shelter’s Facebook page.
