Event: Celebration of Lights and Silly Old Time Radio Show

POUGHKEEPSIE, NY- The Mid-Hudson Children’s Museum’s (MHCM) “Celebration of Lights and Silly Old Time Radio Show” after-hours event is scheduled for Friday, December 2, 2016 from 5:30pm to 7:30pm. 
 
The Museum will feature an interactive children’s performance, “Silly Old Time Radio,” holiday craft making, and a special complimentary hot chocolate bar. To top of this special evening, visitors will be treated to a front row view of fireworks over the Hudson River from the Museum’s waterfront location.  
 
The Museum recommends that you purchase tickets in advance.  Ticket price includes museum admission and access to all museum activities. Tickets to MHCM’s Celebration of Lights and Silly Old Time Radio Show are $12 per person ($8 per person for MHCM Members) and may be purchased online at http://tinyurl.com/MHCMNewYears.  Free event parking is available at the Museum, with overflow parking at Waryas Park (free), at the Poughkeepsie Train Station (paid), and along Main Street in Poughkeepsie (paid by meter).
 
Recipient of the 2015 Dutchess Tourism Family Entertainment Award of Distinction, the Mid-Hudson Children’s Museum is the ideal destination for families with young children. With exhibits that focus on early literacy, art, STEM, and the local community, the museum provides an educationally rich environment through which children have the opportunity to develop foundational skills, to engage in purposeful play, and to develop interpersonal connections.  The museum is located in the heart of the historic waterfront in Poughkeepsie, just steps away from the Poughkeepsie Metro-North train station, the Walkway Over the Hudson’s Elevator, fabulous restaurants, and a new city park.
