EVENT: Orange County Fair

July 22 - August 2

July 29, 2015

The Orange County Fair returns to Middletown July 22 – Aug. 2 for more great family entertainment. The orange County Fair is bigger and better than ever and manager Mike Gurda, IV, says that there is more free family entertainment than ever. “We really went all out this year to pack the most exciting entertainment into our customer’s fair experience”, said Gurda. “We booked the Fabulous Flores Thrill Show, a semi-finalist on America’s Got Talent and they will be performing several shows each day at the fair.”, he added. The Flores Family will perform death-defying feats such as the world famous Globe of Death several times each day.

In addition to the Thrill Show, there will be an enormous petting zoo filled with dozens of animals for kids to feed. Goats and sheep are just some of the animals you can meet and feed in the petting zoo. For the more adventurous, the fair’s unique Indoor Safari has exotic animals like monkeys, lemurs and birds that can usually only be seen in America’s finest zoos. The Orange County Fair has made special arrangements to bring this attraction to the fair this year and it is sure to be a popular attraction for all ages.

Another truly special exhibit new to the fair in 2015 is the Kangaroo Encounter a collection of kangaroos on display. There are several opportunities each day to hear about the kangaroos and you can meet them up close.

Gurda said that the fair also has music on two stages, an antique fire truck exhibit with engines from 9/11, pony rides, and dozens of more exhibits for the whole family. Almost all of the activities are free with fair admission.

Making a return to the Orange County Fair is Strates Shows, one of the largest carnival companies in North America. The newly redesigned midway will feature Spectacular rides that can usually only be found at the largest State Fairs. The Vertigo Swings, the Himalaya, the Fireball and dozens of rides for the kids make up the exciting attraction lineup.

Gurda said the fair is focused on families and they have made every attempt to keep prices affordable. A family can have a great day at the fair, experience entertainment they would normally have to travel a great distance to see and do it affordably”, he said. “This year we are introducing family 4-packs where two adults over 18 and two kids under 18 can get admission and unlimited rides for one low price”, he added. Family 4-packs are available for $65, good any one day, if purchased before the fair online at orangecountyfair.com. During the fair, they can be purchased only online, for $75 good any one weekday (Monday – Friday) or $85 good any one fair day.
